14T Tank Wagon in Regent livery.

The wagon carries the livery of Regent and carries the running number 101. It is a Class A tank wagon produced for the Air Ministry in the lead up to World War 2. Some 300 wagons were ordered in January 1939 to carry aviation fuel with delivery commencing during May 1939. A total of 3,170 wagons were built for the Air Ministry by ten different manufacturers, the last being delivered from Charles Roberts in September 1944. After the war, Regent, which was jointly owned by Standard Oil of California and Texaco, operated as a division of CALTEX until 1967 when Regent ceased to be a brand name. Today these two companies are better known as Chevron and Texaco. The new club wagon can therefore operate on any layout based between the end of the war and the 1960s.
