7 Plank Wagon, Running Number 3 in 'Cains Of Wallasey' Black Livery Cain Bros. of Wallasey were coal merchants, with a base in Birkenhead. The black enddoor model (37-075K3) was of a wagon supplied in 1933 by the Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon Company. It is thought to have been a repainted second-hand one that, during the 1930s depression, could be bought for as little as £60 each. Coal at one time came from Brynkinnault Colliery near Chirk, on the Wales/England border, and the company was still extant in 1966. This model was produced as the English wagon for the Bachmann Collectors Club.
