With the arrival of the Summer edition of the Bachmann Times magazine come details of the 2018 Bachmann Collectors Club Members Day. Our annual free day out gives Members the chance to see behind the scenes at a heritage railway and each year we travel to different venues around the country to give more members the chance to join in.

This year we're heading to the Churnet Valley Railway on Saturday 1st September and ticket booking is now open.

Members will be treated to guided tours of the railway’s facilities at Cheddleton which includes the locomotive works plus we’ve arranged brake van rides of the yard with some members getting the chance to drive a loco too! You’ll also enjoy train rides along the line including the Cauldon Lowe Branch with its steep incline to Ipstones which really makes the locomotives work! The Bachmann Showcase will be on hand displaying the very latest developments from your favourite Bachmann brands.

A free packed lunch will be provided and the railway has several outlets where further refreshments can be purchased throughout the day. The Members Day will begin at Kinglsey & Froghall with our train departing at 10.30am – there is a large free car park here and members of the Bachmann team will be on hand to greet you on arrival. Unfortunately the railway is not easily accessible by public transport.

We have just 150 FREE tickets available for the 2018 Members Day and you can book yours now by emailing us at collectorsclub@bachmann-europe.co.uk or by calling the club office on 01455 245565. Tickets are available on a first come first served basis and are limited to one per member – so be quick and book your ticket now! Full event details, timetables and tickets will be sent to all who book a ticket in late July/early August.
