Our latest limited edition club locomotive, the GCR 9J No. 316 in Great Central Railway livery has now sold out. All 504 models were snapped up by eager members in less than three weeks making this model one of our most popular yet! If you missed out on this model then why not indulge in our D11/2 ‘Hobbie Elliott’ locomotive which has similar origins to the GCR 9J class.

The D11/1 locomotives were developed by the Great Central Railway and were known as ‘Improved Directors’ following on from the D10 ‘Director’ class. The D11/2 Class were known as ‘Scottish Directors’ and featured lower chimneys, domes and cabs which allowed these locomotives to operate on the Scottish region which had a smaller loading gauge than the Great Central route for which the D11s were originally designed.

We now have just 10 of our D11/2 ‘Hobbie Elliott’ (31-136K) models remaining. Priced at £117.90 and with free express delivery to UK addresses, our model is decorated in the attractive LNER Apple Green livery with British Railways wording on the tender and each model includes an individual certificate of authenticity.
